Tindakan is an integral part of the movement to educate, inspire, entertain and empower individuals, businesses and communities to live in more direct sustainable harmony with the Earth. We are not only introducing outside ideas, but equally giving individuals and organizations the chance to express their own concerns and solutions.
We believe environmentalism and social justice issues are intertwined. Addressing & identifying interconnected issues within society affecting the state of our planet such as poverty, racism, classism, gender equality issues etc., and working with communities to come up with successful solutions to these societal ailments is paramount. We believe that an educated & harmonious society creates a healthy and flourishing planet.
Tindakan is seeking to expand our planning committee and is specifically looking to fill the following roles:
Media & PR Management
Event Production
Development Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
Work with event committees to ensure successful production of events
Contribute to social media postings, weekly
Represent Tindakan at events in the Denver / Boulder area
Develop strategies to help promote our events and mission
Make connections with press/TV/radio and potential donors
Develop strategies to expand partnerships, crowdfunding platforms and sell tickets for our events and workshops
Connect with other nonprofits, organizations and individuals that are related/relevant to our mission and operations
Specific Skills:
While no previous media management or event planning experience is necessary, we are especially seeking persons with experience in media outreach, RR, and event planning. Preferred skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Outgoing personality
Ability to navigate social media platforms
Proficiency Google platforms or willingness to learn
Time Required (approximately):
Meet once weekly for committee conference call + once per month in person (Denver/Boulder area).
Ideal candidates will be able to commit 5-10 hours per week. Time commitment is flexible and can be discussed with the director at interview.
