Tindakan provides support to eco-social justice causes in communities in a variety of ways. We promote actual, attainable solutions through planning and producing events and projects, as well as, facilitating edutainment workshops, panels, and discussions.

Through these channels, Tindakan catalyzes direct change, supporting front line, effectual nonprofit and community organizations, grassroots projects and endeavors that fall in line with our mission.

We are not just observers, we are solutionaries. We identify the systems that harm communities and ecosystems, and we build pathways to solutions that are just, sustainable, and joyful. Through bold projects, immersive events, strategic partnerships, and creative education, Tindakan ignites community power and drives real, measurable impact around the world.

What We’ve Achieved

  • Save Colorado’s Prairie Dogs, alongside Tindakan and a dedicated coalition of Longmont-area residents and wildlife advocates, helped secure an ordinance that strengthens protections for prairie dogs and the many plant and animal species that depend on them. This vital win ensures greater safeguards and fairer relocation opportunities when development threatens their homes.

    This ordinance ensures social responsibility is adhered to while eliminating undue burdens to the City, developers and wildlife advocates.

    Since the ordinance was enacted, over 5,000 prairie dogs have been humanely relocated to new habitat.

  • Industrial hemp has a huge amount to offer Colorado, the nation and ultimately the planet. The hemp industry provides an open door to help address economic, environmental, conservational and social issues along with sustainable and responsible living that will ultimately lead to a greener, healthier planet.

  • In February 2020, in partnership with our colleagues at Invegrow in Malawi, Africa, we helped draft the Cannabis Act that legalized cannabis for industrial and medicinal use. The Act also established the Cannabis Regulatory Authority (CRA), creating a clear regulatory framework to license and guide the industry’s growth.
